About
The TCA Business Women Bonspiel was started in 2002 to fulfill a need for the Business Women curler. A group of dedicated volunteers organize the event which attracts curlers from the TCA clubs, the GTA and beyond.
This event welcomes curlers of all skill levels to a weekend of curling. Over the years curlers have come together to enjoy curling and friendship.
History
In 1994, as part of the Toronto & District Ladies Bonspiel, 16 Business Women teams participated. In 1998 with only 8 teams competing, the event was eliminated from the T&D Ladies Bonspiel the following year. In 2002, the Toronto Curling Association, in partnership with Johnson Controls, introduced the TCA Energizer Business Women Bonspiel as part of the Energizer series of bonspiels. The first bonspiel was held November 16 -17 at the High Park Curling Club. Sixteen teams participated in this two day event.
In 2003 the bonspiel had 24 teams competing in this prestigious two day event. In 2007 the Toronto Curling Association was pleased to announce a new partnership with Revera Retirement Living (formerly The Retirement Group). That year 32 teams participated in the event. Revera Retirement Living was the sponsor until 2009.
In 2012, the Toronto Curling Association welcomed Linda J. Levesque and Monique Telmosse, Investment Advisors from Dundee Wealth as the title sponsors of the bonspiel.
In 2013 the bonspiel became the Levesque & Telmosse Wealth Planning TCA Business Women Bonspiel.
In 2015, the bonspiel became the Levesque Wealth Planning TCA Business Women Championship with Linda J. Levesque as the title sponsor.
In 2019 the event became the TCA Business Women Bonspiel.
